Longhorn Mesa

A day on a ranch, at the speed of the land: longhorns in the grass, a drive around the property, and an afternoon in the rocks on Tri-X.

Longhorn Mesa is a ranch, and a day there runs at the speed of the land: a drive around the property in a side-by-side, longhorns watching from the grass, lunch in the kitchen, a long conversation on the porch. These are the photographs from that day, in digital and on a roll of Tri-X.

In the afternoon we walked down into the rocks, where the light comes through the trees in pieces. The Tri-X was made for that.
